fly by check in

I'm alive and well. Busy as a bee in the field again. Back to regular posting in 2 weeks. Have many projects to show for the crafty and many stories to ponder for the life of a new assistant prof. Just thought I'd give a brief check in while I have the wonder of internet for a few more minutes :)
