Well, the holidays have come and gone. They were, as always, a whirlwind of family and friends. And, as always, I am just as happy to see them go as I was to see them come. So what's new in my life. Well a lot of things and nothing much at all.
The nephew, gets cuter by the day, and he's so well behaved he's almost got me convinced to maybe think about providing cousins for him to play with someday. Then I remember that I don't cook, don't clean and often forget to feed myself, so infant care might not really be the best option at this particular time in my life. But he is pretty damn cute.
This time of year is always filled with visits from friends as well, and it's always best when them come bearing big happy news: Jr and his lovely wife are having a baby. Krista is getting married, and I'll happily be serving as a bridesmaid :) So congratulations all around.
I, myself, have no big news to share, but I do have a couple of irons in the fire on the job hunt side that give a glimmer of hope, which, I think is a good way to start the new year: looking forward to the new adventures it can bring.
